Simple to build, easy to clean, versatile: this table has everything going for it! Whether in the crafts room, the family room, your child’s bedroom or the laundry room, it is a great and useful addition to the home.
Steps:
-
Cut a piece of 1"-inch thick melamine panel to measure 24" wide by 48" long.
-
Stick pre-glued melamine edge banding to what will be the three outer edges of the table top.
-
Use brackets to fasten the 44" length of 1" x 3" board under the back edge of the table so you can secure it to the wall (see step 6).
-
Position and screw the two leg brackets to the underside of the table top, at each front corner.
-
Screw the two metal legs into the brackets.
-
Fasten the table to the wall with screws.
Affordable and easy to work with, melamine is also easy to clean. However, if you prefer a more natural look, use wood or particleboard that you can stain or varnish.
