Storage is not only more practical now, but it is also better integrated into a home's decor, and it is beautiful to look at.

Aside from the obvious shelves, hanging space and cubbies, home-owners and apartment dwellers alike now treat this space like they would any other room in their home by installing attractive light fixtures, painting, wallpapering and even buying beautiful furniture and art.

More often than not today's kitchens are open to the rest of the house and have become a multitasker where family and friends gather, homework is accomplished and parties are held.
