Summer has arrived, it’s now time to escape the hectic city lifestyle and get out to the country for some rest! As with any home, there is often a to-do list of chores and repairs waiting to get done. More often than not, however, these second homes don’t receive enough attention and care. Many cottages end up looking like a storage ground for hand-me-downs and mismatched furniture. This summer, consider getting rid of some items while painting and slip-covering others.
Summer life at the cottage is all about enjoying the outdoors. Maybe it’s time to screen in that porch from the bugs and add an outdoor rug to create a seating area for gathering around in the evenings.
