Avoid a bare and boring tree with our simple layer by layer approach to festive decor.

When decorating your tree, position baubles into the ‘depth’ of the branches and not just on the outer edges - this will create a ‘fatter’ and more complete look and avoid any bare patches.  The golden rule with tree decor is lights on first, followed by garlands and then finally ornaments. This layering effect works best from a design point of view and makes dressing the tree a breeze.  Safety first – if your tree’s in water, then make sure your lights aren’t plugged in as you work them in.  Place them first and them power them up.  You can unplug and make adjustments before the final tree lighting ceremony.
