Colin & Justin’s New England Style in Good Old Canada!

This suburban hallway was dark and dreary but we opened it up by removing the wall from the attic room and replacing it with an open banister onto the stairway. This immediately floods the entire stairwell with light, thereby lifting the mood throughout. Further coastal decor is added by attaching vertical lengths of timber to form a banding detail. This vertical line serves to lift the height of the area, as well as mimic the timber detailing found in the most stylish and inspiring homes of New England.
