
Teresa Ryback is the founder of td Swansburg design studio, a Vancouver-based design firm specializing in luxury residential projects and hospitality design. Her passion for high quality design, along with her naturally artististic eye, has led to her ongoing success in creating award-winning interiors. Teresa has appeared in such publications as Luxury Home Quarterly Canada, BC Homes, Dream House, Island House and Home and, in 2009, was featured in Spectacular Homes of Western Canada—An Exclusive Showcase of Western Canada’s Finest Designers. She is also part of RONA’s Group of Seven designers.
RONAMAG sat down with Teresa Ryback to ask her a few questions and find out her take on the latest design trends!

Omer Arbel, a Vancouver designer who creates objects, furniture, lighting and electrical accessories. Amongst all, he designed the Bocci light fixture.
Martha Sturdy's resin flower bowl! I also think that the design of a room isn’t complete without a magnificent chandelier!
Architecture, art, travel and the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest are all ongoing sources of inspiration. I also like modern interpretations of the classic fretwork pattern. I’m influenced by classic design movements and the options that modern materials and automated technology have to offer.
Be clear on how the space should function for you. Defining what does and does not work for your lifestyle will provide clarity when making decisions. Then you can establish a realistic budget. Once a budget is determined, a plan can be prepared to reach design goals!
