WE:DO:WOOD is a Danish company founded in 2006 by designers and cabinet makers Henrik Thygesen and Sebastian Jorgensen. Based on a mutual desire to preserve the environment while offering durable, contemporary products, these two Danes joined together to create furniture and modular kitchens using bamboo.

The essential element of their design is functionality of objects. The designers’ principal objective is to create furniture that is easily adaptable to daily usage. Their no-frills approach sticks to the essentials and puts emphasis on durability and ease of use. The desks, chairs and modular concepts created by Thygesen and Jorgensen represent simple geometric shapes that can be easily integrated into various decors while also allowing for efficient storage and organization.

It’s no coincidence that WE:DO:WOOD chose bamboo as their primary construction material. Bamboo is the fastest-growning and regenerating broad-leaved tree. It does not necessitate any pesticide and produces 35% more oxygen than the other plants that grow in the same region. All of these make bamboo an excellent choice for building furniture. It allows the building of quality furniture that will stand the test of time while popular belief state that it will simultaneously spread calm and stimulate creativity.

WE:DO:WOOD products are currently available in Europe only, but the designers are planning to export their work to Canada for summer 2013. These intelligent, green, modern and beautiful products will without a doubt find a place in many decors on this side of the Atlantic!
