The spirit style Christmas is so irresistibly eye-catching, you'll be tempted to give yourself the first Christmas gift: a style full of colour and contrast to light up the winter.
When your boxes of Christmas decorations inspire nothing more than a sigh, and your tree lights illuminate neither your tree nor your recently overflowing imagination, it’s high time to clean your house and give your decorations the facelift they need. But where and with what do you start? Why not do like the Three Wise Men – guided to the manger by the Star of Bethlehem – and follow, step by step, the RONA by Design spirit style Christmas that was created with you in mind? Simply follow the guide!
The Tree: Rising to the Occasion
First of all, standing 7½’ tall and bathed in 800 lights, the requisite tree is a truly vibrant treasure, with its harmonious blend of gleaming gold balls, others with a mat finish and still others coated in scales reminiscent of pinecones. Additional balls, smaller and more discreet, add a dash of emerald green to this gorgeous golden package. Spiral pendants and strings of stars add a contemporary flair. Many of us imagine them hanging around our necks or our ears!
In answer to their lofty neighbor, a set of three small trees suggests a sparkling new generation of Christmas trees whose cone shapes infuse the décor with a modern, even futuristic Christmas feel. To complement the gleaming balls, we decorated the dining room wall with seven round mirrors, like seven full moons that enhance the youthful style of this contemporary-themed room.
On the side, a console table in brown wood with gold trim holds objects that combine elegance and convenience. Here we find Comet, Donder and Blitzen, three reindeer detached from Santa’s sleigh and used as hangers for the Christmas stockings you’ve filled with presents. To provide sublte lighting, two bronze-tinted candle holders keep watch and assure us that the holiday atmosphere proposed here is destined to become a classic example of a distinctly modern style.
Well-Planned Spontaneity: the Table is Set
Don’t worry – this holiday season, we thought of everything, so you wouldn’t have to. Not a single detail has been left out. On the table cloth, gold-coloured plates, unique candle holders made of glass and metal, along with a spray of sparkling leaves, suddenly combine to make the first winning recipe of your Christmas dinner: a rich and inviting environment. As for the ease of putting it all together, it’s what it should have been all along: child’s play!
